Before that we would recommend first to update the Logitech webcam drivers to their latest version for your OS from the camera's manufacturer, restart and see if the issue persists ( we recommend that because this is an isolated report, and because in our office we use multiple Logitech camera models across many different configurations).
To uninstall Facerig simply right click on its name in the steam client and remove local program data. ( that means an uninstall will be performed by the steam install service).
If its redistributables were not installed by steam install process, but rather by you manually, you will also have to uninstall them manually in windows add/remove programs ( the most important being the FaceRig Virtual Camera and the FaceRig Virtual Microphone. )
You can also find the install kits of the redistributables that are installed with Facerig in the following folders
Microsoft Redistributables
<steamInstallDir>\SteamApps\common\FaceRig\_CommonRedist\
Other redistributables/prerequisites
<steamInstallDir>\\steamapps\common\FaceRig\Bin\prerequisites
2. other parts might have to be un-installed from the default windows programs and software.
Please allow me to educate you on how knowledge is found and collected. Instead of spreading it out amongst many random posts.
1) It so happens that this is the top result from a google search on facerig uninstall.
2) if there are 20 threads with 20 ideas about how to fix facerig camera problems, then that is MUCH LESS useful and MUCH MORE frustrating than having a single thread that collects knowledge about problems and fixes for that problem.
Can you understand this or should I go into more detail?
(and yes, it is extremely annoying and counterproductive how forums like Reddit lock old posts that will always contain outdated information and yet Google keeps funneling people to the same outdated and un-updatable problem/solution thread that will forever remain as useful/useless as the day it was locked, as opposed to an actual resource being created which evolves with the latest information and fixes.)
THANK YOU. Here's how I solved the numerous FaceRig issues:
After uninstalling:
>Device Manager
>delete anything that says FaceRig
>also delete 'animaze' from the integrated video section-- that's a backup for FaceRig's junk.
