Which CAM to get to move tongue and hands??
This question is only vaguely answered here and there and some of the answers are years old so I don't know if Facerig actually made use of the technology, but...

I run a Twitch channel, and I want to use facerig and be able to use my hands to the fullest, in providing gestures. Which camera would I need to be able to do this?? Or what software if it works on any camera.

Thanks so much!! Did that INTEL IR RealSense Tech not work out??
Or is that still a thing?

Hello, Laphin! For both tongue and hands tracking, there's the SR300 and F200 cameras, and for hands only there's the Leap Motion device. We don't support newer RealSense cameras such as the D435 as we have not tested them yet, so we can't recommend them.

IRFaceRig is restricted to RealSense cameras only and does not support hand movement. There is no UI+ button in IRFaceRig, although it is present in FaceRig.

FaceRig has the multi-sensor features where you can add extra trackers, such as the RealSense Tracker that supports hands tracking.

I want to purchase the SR300, but I'm having a really tough time finding it.
Do you know where I could buy this cam?

Also a second question,
When it comes to hand movement, does the creater of the model have to set it up for hand movement before it can be used LIVE on cam, by the recipient of the 3D model.

Thanks so much for the answers! I appreciate it!

I've looked on Amazon for the SR300 but could not find it. Perhaps you could try searching on e-bay or other similar sites.

Regarding your second question, indeed, the artist that creates the model has to set up animations for the avatar's hands in order for them to move when using Realsense or Leap Motion.
