Question about VRChat avatars being used in this software
So I play a lot of VRChat and over the past couple of years, I've acquired a handful of custom avatars that I've commissioned from some 3D artists. I'm wondering if I am able to reuse these 3D avatars in FaceRig without having to go into them and rework how the model actually works. Has anyone tried bringing one of these types of avatars straight into FaceRig?

Hello, as far as I know, VRChat avatars have the .vrm format. FaceRig needs Collada. This means that the avatar should be in the Collada format in order for it to work. If you can modify the type of files into Collada, you could try and import the model into FaceRig and see if it works (we, ourselves, have not tried this so we can't say if it works or not).

.vrm files are basically Unity Asset Bundles in a fancy wrapping. They might've added some security as a wrapping, or it might just be just an Asset Bundle with a different extension.
