Report a translation problem
To fix this, click start then type env and open "Edit environment variables for your account" then select FR_CUSTOMDATA_PATH and click edit, remove the space at the end of the value box and hit ok.
After that running the .bat opens a folder selection dialogue.
This was my problem at least, may be different for you
New issue. the object won't attach.
It would be nice if there was some documentation just explaining how to import static props... Could it be because i haven't done any form of texturing? I didn't want to mess around with doing lots of detail into a model when i just want to test it out and see if it appears in the program... XP You know since UVing an object then creating nice textures is a bit of a pain, when all you want to do is test.
I cannot tell you how much I love that someone took a look at the custom creation pack, even though it is put together rather hastily atm. :D
Maybe we should make a new section in these forums....
The folder i have the DAE in is called test. I used the tool to put it in facerig, it appears in the prop section in the program, but when i click attach, it does nothing and the tick box stays empty... I'm possibly not reading stuff right, but it goes mainly into details about animation, character rigging and so forth. So i'm skipping over those parts because i'm not looking to impliment a character any time soon. Really it's just a static, non textured object. XP
Could it be somethig to do with the way i'm exporting it in maya? I know there are export options, but do i need to do something with them for the program?
Unless it says it elsewhere no. What i read was " For instance if the prop is meant to work with avatar Fluffo and the prop is named “vikingHelmet”, the geometry file should be named “Fluffo_prop_vikingHelmetGeometry”."
So i took the "vikingHelmet" part out and put my own name in.
Yes the script should have taken care of the translation.. but most likely there is a bug.
I've never really made props for anything other then myself before, so i guess i could be doing something wrong? XP
Input data? You mean the model or what???
Yeah that's fine. It's understandable :3
OK. XP I'll do my best to answer him when he comes...
