Modifying FUSE files for Facerig Import... HOW???
Hello,

I really like Facerig and the opportunities it brings. However, I found myself with a problem.
I need to create three custom avatars for a project I am working on. I am stuck now, thus I am calling for HELP! Please, please, please…

Since I have no experience in 3D modeling I went the easiest way to create a 3D character – FUSE Character Creator software. After exporting my character, I ended up with an .obj file, a .mtl file and a bunch of .png files.

So what I need now, is a step by step tutorial (for dummies/idiots), what to do to make an import to Facerig possible. I understand that I need to use another 3D software to convert my files into appropriate formats – I have Blender for that.

I tried to find the answer in the discussion here, but obviously, I have not been successful yet. All I found was comments like
• “the process of creating a 3D character is long and difficult, one cannot write a step by step tutorial, it would be too long” – I DO HAVE a character, I just need to modify it for import.
• “you have to modify your files” – Well, thank you, Captain Obvious
• “here is the link to the discussion” – Do you realize how frustrating it is to go through hundreds of topics just to not find the solution you need?
• “here is the ImportWizard documentation” – which was obviously written for people who know what they’re doing when it comes to 3D modeling

If there is a solution to this problem of mine somewhere in a discussion that I missed (and I mean real solution, not just link to a vague answer hidden in thousands of words), please, let me know. Or if you know how to do it and are willing to create a tutorial for me (and I assume many others in the same situation), I will be eternally thankful.

I also want to thank anyone who took time to read this and will provide me with an answer.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Hi,

The 3D model needs to contain collada and targa files in order to be imported into FaceRig. You need to follow these instructions https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0ciRKrWV2vsa0hXeHBDMzl3STA/view while creating your avatar and here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0ciRKrWV2vsN25yUlRJdHExd0E/view you have step by step instruction on how the import wizard works.
