it is a full campaign. same missions as in singleplayer, same events, dialogs and enemies - only now with two people
mind that coop is bugged when both players are using the same wi-fi network to play (as in the same household). disconnections happen a lot. but that is a common issue with lots of games which are using steam matchmaking
