I was running invasion + expanse game with just me as the player and once I hit about level 70 and got 1M sized invader performance dunked hugely and afterwards was completely gone. Also the zeitgeist to convert energy production to research happened around this time.

Basically right now on this game the game takes 1-3 minute unresponsive breaks eating a ton of CPU and then showing couple frames of action and doing the thinking again. Pausing the game takes about 3-5 minutes to actually happen and after game is actually paused it works perfectly normal so performance degrade seems to be related to whatever it is trying to do while game is running

Was able to destroy most of invader capitals but performance isn't back so it might not be related to invaders. Or at least not the capitals maybe some of the support ships are bouncing around traveling at the light speed out of the game bounds
Also my influence stakes are around million or so and it seems to keep on going up and at one point reached so high that it became negative and at one point went back to normal and now is rising again.
My research points are also around hundred thousand so I guess this is due to fact that the game cannot keep on calculating what's going on

Anyone encountered anything like this before? Any ideas what to do to try get performance back or should I just abandon the run?
