Hail there anyone. Question ? What does " IRC " stand for ? And the above links chat rooms ?
I thought that's what it was when I used the ' link's ", what I wasn't shure of, if there was some kind of Giant sand box that everyone could fight.
So it's only a chat room/ meeting for what ever . Thank's vaaish
it works in any HTML5 ready browser and overall it's better choice than Mibbit
Discord is a completely proprietary system that makes everything go through their servers, I'd be very wary of setting up anything on that.
what I mean is that You may setup community server on Discord just for chat
it's simpler and has better interface than IRC for normal users
God... that post makes me feel SO old.
to DEVs - what about setup Discord server for anything Star Ruller ?
But yeah their IRC channel is dead it seems no idea why. Was on it about 5 or so hours ago. No longer connecting, and no one is in the linked IRC here. Tried the old IRC from original star ruler without anyone there either. Was really confused why the client IRC they're supplying in game was just closing immediately when it was just working. Even reinstalled the game a couple times.
nvm it is up now guize. we're good.
I've recently posted a link to a server in another thread: https://discord.gg/sUJKJDc
Technically it's just for one mod, but between #general-chat and #matchmaking-othermods there's plenty of room for the rest of the community... and I personally find it more convenient. (IRC doesn't store chat history as far as I can tell, and I can't keep the PC running 24/7, so...)
