Game lore?

Does this game have any actual lore other than the information you can see on the faction screen? Game feels kind of soulless if there is no lore.

I have a full story bible which details the origins, rise, and society of all the races and the interactions between them (despite no diplomatic contact being established between any of the races) before the game begins. This includes the empire which preceeded all the playable races whose artifacts, buildings, and automated ships [the Remnant faction] dot the galaxy, the origin of the FTL Crystals, etc.

Part of that bible is on display with the little snippets of history shown on each race. In what way the rest of the lore will manifest into the game I can't yet say but it is there if we want to pull from it.

We've considered making some short stories for each of the race, portions of which are unlocked by particular events and acts in the game, but at the moment we're keeping most of it under our hat as material for expansions, mechanics, and other such stuffs.
