Some how i took Girbraltar once before cause i got the acheivement for it. I have tried again and now have no clue what sea zone to amphib from or how to take it. I remember playing and having amphib transports and control of the seas and still not getting to unload onto girbraltar even after reconing it.........i guess when i play again i'll try and take out Britain again.
In this game, neither amphibious assaults nor air drops are viable military options to capture mountain terrain. Gibraltar is mountain terrain, therefore land forces are required for it's capture. Opening a land route through Spain (via alliance or declaration of war) with sufficiently allocated land forces should result in victory. Spain is a nuetral country so use of Diplomacy Points (DP) will be necessary. The manual describes DPs and DP expenditure choices on pages 44-45.
