Weird Game, lost as USA

No, I was not invaded. Anyway, I played as the USA. Problems:

I can't get my planes to England. Had a fighter and a start bomber, but there is no way to rebase to England and no Sea Transport. So, I could not Start Bomb Germany during the Eastern Front debacle.

My units when I amphib them died. I took Brest, but could not get more than one unit supplied. My second Tank Army died on the beaches after I took Brest. Sea Transport is costly.

No British or Canadian forces helped at Normandy. I led the way but they stumbled around with strong units in Africa and never helped invade France.

After several plays, as USA once and Russia four times, Allies never take out Italy. There just aren't enough units for that.

Russia AI cannot beat German AI. Russia AI surrendered in Fall '44. Without Russian Tanks annihilating Germany, WWII is lost.

Dunno if I will play this again. Played as Russia but had to increase the to Very Easy. I even had USA as Easy but only had 4-5 units and some ships. Germany is just too strong.

Is ok game for the cheap price, but I have played WWII games for over 45 years. This one is ok, but epends on what you control. The game has different outcomes. One USSR playthrough Germany was strong. The next time France walloped on Germany and Germans only had 2 Panzer armies to invade USSR with. This is kinda neat, but wow, each game is different. Guess that is a good thing.

Oh, and I am not getting any achievement progress for building units, like infantry, cruisers and tanks.

You can strategically move air units if your have enough SMP. Need 8 for a fighter. That is how you deploy air units to Britain when playing as USA. BTW, you can get the USA in the war quite early (like about Sept. 1940), if you pump the USA's DP directly into the "raise war effort" button each turn you have 9 DP saved up. Last time I did this Germany did not conquer France until Nov. 1940, and Russia steam rolled the game before I could even deploy enough troops to "help" Germany as the Allies. So, yes, the AI turns out very differently each time :)
