If it still crashes after that, shoot me over the log file, you may have out of date/OEM drivers installed for the GPU: http://wiki.gearcity.info/doku.php?id=troubleshooting:steam_logfile
I shouldn't have too outdated drivers since the PC is only 6 months old.
Now for the email:
Thanks for the log file. From the looks of it, you are alt-tabbing out of the game and/or doing other stuff on the computer while playing. GearCity uses DirectX9, which is about 15 years old. DirectX9 does not play well with users alt-tabbing, especially fullscreen.
Please switch to OpenGL or do not do anything while playing and see if that resolves the issue.
If you do plan on using DirectX9 and continue to multi-task, please use windowed mode or borderless mode.
Log file threw me in a loop though. :)

Try playing the game in DirectX without doing ANYTHING on the computer other than playing the game. No alt-tabbing, nothing. If it does not crash, the issue is with the emulated DirectX9 functions on your Windows 10 install, DX9 GPU Loss State, and your video card.
There will be limitations with OpenGL2 renderer based on your GPU's driver support. Considering you have a fairly new GPU, and OpenGL2 is around 17 years old now, driver support is probably limited.
The main thing is, does it crash with OpenGL? If not, then the original problem is solved. There isn't anything I can do about broken GL features in Windows.
I think all else like stuttering was McAfee, spent the last couple of hours testing.
So yeah, problem solved. I'll just not touch the gaps and I'm fine :)
