Torque not updating when cloning
Seen this happen a few times, there seems to be an issue with the engine advanced design where it doesn't seem to properly update values.

Every time I've seen it happen is when cloning another engine, same sliders but engine specs will be much lower than the engine cloned. I'll set the engine up initially the same (Flat, 6, DOHC, Power Stage 3), clone sliders then notice even though its the same engine specs wise the torque for example is half it should be. I'll change the engine to V or H or some other type and back to Flat and update the specs to be the same such as cylinders and induction as they reset and the engine values update to be similar as cloned engine.

I've only noticed it when cloning. Seems to work fine when doing anew without cloning.

Verify that bore and stroke are the same.

I will see if I can duplicate it when I get in the office later today.

Stroke is higher when engine is at half values. When engine is at half values Stroke was at 201.20. After changing engine type and back, it updates to 196.35 and double the torque. The cloned engine is at 201 stroke.

A couple of notes, the clone system only clones slider positions. It does not set sub-component selections. When you change a sub-component that affects bore and stroke, the game resets the bore and stroke positions. If you make your sub-component changes before using clone, it should work properly. Remember, the clone system is only for loading slider positions, bore and stroke are not considered slider positions, but are ranges that the selected sub-components support. Looking at the loaded slider positions, everything seems to be loading fine.

That being said, if you want to completely clone a design, including sub-components, use the "Redesign" system in the Modify, Engine, menu.

I set the sub components myself to be the same between the engine being built and the one being cloned before cloning the slider positions. Its when the bore or stroke, in this case stroke, is higher on the engine being cloned than the max allowed on the engine being built.

Once cloned, it does not have the correct engine specs. I can move the stroke slider off max then back to max which fixes it. Don't need to change engine types. After that, if I clone the same engine again the specs do not change. E.g. I'll move the stroke slider down to half making Torque for example much lower. Clone again which maxes stroke slider, leaves all specs the exact same except for mpg, material costs and project costs.

OK, I got you now. I'll double check that. I may just need to wiggle it automatically if over the max.

I have fixed the issue and the changes will be in the next update.

Thanks again!
