Game doesnt start - New issue
I press play and within seconds it turns off. I do not get any game window or anything like that. Nothing seems to be acctually starting.

I have tried various versions of the game as well as reinstalling it, verifying game files etc.
Nothing seems to help. I did not have this issues last time I played which was about 2-3 weeks ago.

If you're running any anti-virus software, including Windows Defender, please white list the game files/game folder: https://wiki.gearcity.info/doku.php?id=troubleshooting:antivirus

If Anti-virus is not your troubles, try running GearCity.exe directly from the folder. Let me know if you get a Windows popup error message, as Steam hides those.

No anti virus or windows defender.
Tried to run from folder and got this message (translated to english):

"Code execution cannot continue because OpenAL32.dll cannot be found. Try reinstalling the program".

I will send you log files soon, thanks for all the help, really love your game!

I switched to the 32-bit version, had not tried that before and it worked!
Strange as I never had this issues with this game, and I played it for many years now.

All you need to do is install OpenAL sound library. You uninstalled it at some point, and Steam will not reinstall it after it has installed it.
