Nor does :DD give me any icons in my Steam Chat.
Same happens when I type ":am" (I would never type this though..), and then Steam suggests some icons. It's just weird coding to my mind because I would prefer it to at least suggest icons that would start with letters "am" or "DD". Now it just takes those letters from middle of words.. But it's Steam thing in general, not GearCity thing.
Could the name (or title) "Teddy", in your picture, be changed to "Bear" by you, for an example..? Or is it "greyed out" and only Steam decides it from now on..?

Doesn't' matter what characters I put, the autocomplete will pull up for you regardless of what you will type if it contains the characters. I suggest voicing your feedback to Valve to fix their mess, since an autocomplete ought not be pulling up ": gcteddy :" when writing ":DD"
