The GCTeddy icon is set to : GCTeddy : in Steam's backend. I suspect :DD is whatever the latest icon you got or something similar. Either way, the issue is not on my end:

Nor does :DD give me any icons in my Steam Chat.

I see, thanks for the reply. When I type ":DD", there is no icon automatically set in the chat, but for me, Steam opens a suggestion box above my text. Then I can choose, if I want icon to be put in my message or not.

Same happens when I type ":am" (I would never type this though..), and then Steam suggests some icons. It's just weird coding to my mind because I would prefer it to at least suggest icons that would start with letters "am" or "DD". Now it just takes those letters from middle of words.. But it's Steam thing in general, not GearCity thing.

Could the name (or title) "Teddy", in your picture, be changed to "Bear" by you, for an example..? Or is it "greyed out" and only Steam decides it from now on..?

Ah, I see what you mean. I'm reluctant to change it because it's been that way for 5.5 years and this is my first complaint about it. I'm not sure if it will generate more complaints changing it.

Doesn't' matter what characters I put, the autocomplete will pull up for you regardless of what you will type if it contains the characters. I suggest voicing your feedback to Valve to fix their mess, since an autocomplete ought not be pulling up ": gcteddy :" when writing ":DD"
