Anyway, I destroyed the block directly connected to the cab an instead of scattering, the whole tail that just came loose fell apart into junk and despawned.
I just saw it several times, stuff that I wanted just flying apart without even blinking red.
The higher the monetary or utility value, the more likely it is to go to junk - and it seems other players have this opinion as well.
Coincidentaly it happens far less when I use something rediculous like 10~20 cruise missiles.
I have seen several different occasions, of largers techs with a more exposed cab that gets hit end up exploding either so violently that almost all of its blocks were actaully destroyed somehow, or the mentioned above bugs where either too many or the remaining of the blocks were just outright deleted.
Of course to complicate matters the survival rate of blocks near other exploding blocks or rounds, tends to drop drastically when they are also volatile. Just try and get all the batteries out of some of these landships via mining equipment while all your guns are also shooting at it.
I was playing with the unstable branches though for almost all of this so there is that. I would like to point out while I'm rambling here that some of the techs were actually far larger and way heavier armed then some of my harvestors or other vehicles at times. Which did sour gameplay at times... Especially with too few blocks remaining after defeating some targets.
The OP is not liking that his careful aiming still results in undamaged blocks being destroyed when the enemy tech is killed.
The whole kill the cab and watch everything go poof is not that great.
