I can't begin to tell you how many times I've been in the middle of a battle and the popup screen saying that I gained a tech level with a corp interrupted and removed all control over my vehicle, resulting in excess damage being taken, or even getting killed. Nothing should pop up, block the player's view, and freeze all controls, ever, but especially not in combat. Also, I can never stop to read the messages, because I'm in combat!

These notifications should be changed to an exclamation point icon similar to the "Undo?" button that pops up when you send a tech to storage, or remove a part from your vehicle. That way, the played can read them at their leisure, AFTER the battle is over. This has been a thorn in my side for years, and one of the few complaints I have about the game.
