Map Development for fans who wish to make em?
I am serious about this, where can I get the tools to make maps with this mod in place? It's insanely fun, and I have some genuinely evil ideas involving portals and time travel

SDK + workshop ?
The idea is really good. but lightly used and too short :) . is it planned to relase SDK and support workshop ? or this mod is just a 'demo' for bigger game ?
lots of things can be created with this time machine.
puzzles are really to easy, exept 1 or 2.

I Agree. a SDK Release would be awesome. And workshop Suppport would be way better than just an Item for Bee2^^

I don't have time for it. This is a free mod.
It took more time for me and add more problems than it was expected.

is there specific entities in your mod, or just changes for some objects and textures ?
in this case, using portal2 sdk to create maps is possible.

You could use the PTI for it, if that would make it easier.

Time machine based on the mapping, so there are many entities on every map that controls TM.

Unfortunately game crashes when you try to compile your map with TM in the editor, and as for now dev have no ideas how that can be fixed and lack of free time to spend on it, so this will probably never be released.

I didn't mean creating a complete new SDK, just release the .VMF instancefiles of the timemachine for use in the Portal 2 Authoring tools or at least the .vmf of a single map that we could look at it and than recreate it.

The Models and Materials are already in the modfolder as far as I know it should be enougth to copy them over in the default Portal 2 Folder , we just need to know how to create the timemachine itself ;)

Would be such great,I have some plans for it. (Is it possible to mod a mod?)

That's strange. I've played another Mod with worshop-options and there it works fine to create and play Maps with the ingame-Editor...

Ok, if Bee2 gets the time machine it would be posdible to use the insttances for Authoring tools, too even if PTI-instances are much more complicated by using them in hammer.
Will BEE2 also get the Cube-builder?

tried some tests with portal2 sdk and hammer by adding TWTM mod folder and it works.
decompiled map01 and recompiled it. all is working exept for portal gun not in hands and wrong lighting (perhaps due to loss in decompilation)
