Re-Volt

Re-Volt

This is a strong advise for caution.
I was very excited to finally see this game on steam. However, when I personally saw the "DO NOT BUY THIS GAME" review juxtaposed to all of the nostalgic praise, I was curious. For context this is referring to this review.

This isn't the last warning there is about this game. You see, there is another instance that goes into more detail than the review. It mentions that they're going to use the revenue on this title to fund their next project with the Re-Volt IP (as I currently understand). This might sound rejoicing, however I have withheld an aspect that might turn you away. They're going to market it to the web3 folks, and you might've already guessed they're going to implement NFTs into this mess. For the uneducated, NFTs (and web3 in general) are basically like your steam inventory, except it's a large list of never ending information of transactions and other types of stuff. It's known to be a dangerous place and should be avoided for the time being. Unless you're reading this post in the future, by all means please tell me how it is up there.

So, a word of caution to everyone who wants to play this game. You can wait and see how it goes, or try the dedicated community's version called RVGL. I heard that they're going to change assets for this game so I recommend you to wait to avoid getting the community into trouble. Legal trouble.

You know,I saw all the warning signs from the community about this stuff only after I had played for a few hours, otherwise I would have refunded it.
On the other hand I really wanted to have Re-Volt on steam...

Is this just scaremongering? All I see thread after thread about this, yet no concrete proof or evidence of any company wrongdoing. It's all like "THOSE GUYS DEFINITELY PLAN SOMETHING EVIL".

I'm no NFT shill. I hate it. That doesn't mean, I will take at the face value anything that some rando wrote on the internet, especially since this narrative smells very sus.
