Not to mention they launched the game without a career profile or any sort of grind that wasn't a battlepass that you had to pay to grind. You literally have to go to a 3rd party website just to check your score.
There is absolutely 0 reason to grind this game unless you want to pay for a crappy battlepass with some of the worst looking cosmetics I've seen in a live service game.
How do you think I feel about Splitgate 2, seeing it go from a Halo/Quake styled game with portals, into a class-based arena shooter with the aesthetics of modernity?
just one of the reasons what's wrong with the gaming industry nowadays.
yeah there isnt a reason to grind it which doesnt help . but i think the marketing move was the big mistake
like they didnt mention any other game mode and most people heard about the game from that event....
The BR is fine but they just need to abandon it and focus on the core gameplay. More maps, more weapons, less focus on grinding attachments, either make the BP skins more unique or make the paid bundles *very* appealing rather than just slight reskins and recolors.
Again, I want this game to succeed but it's really hard to see it coming back from where it's at now. People have already tried and bounced off of it in less than a month, they also don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about battle royale modes that aren't WZ and Apex anymore, and it just doesn't have enough content to justify playing long term.
If they were truly "pro players" as they claim you would have Ranked + bunch of other stuff instead of BR.
Activision has thousands of employees to get stuff done, but still bo6 releases in such a broken state and stayed broken for months, this game only has around 180 employees working on it, and it releases in an overall smooth state, with some pretty major performance issues in br but everywhere else is running buttery smooth.
I hate people trashing these devs over some dumb things the ceo said, these guys clearly care about the community and show it, whether they are interacting with the community itself online or making changes based on player feedback.
