I dont enjoy the game
Like in the title I sadly dont enjoy the game due: The way to travel across the huge map is way too boring, Only got 10 hours I think, but Geralt isnt for me likeable. Hes like just an normal MC. yea thats all, you guys got some tips for me to finally enjoy it?

I recommend playing the game on Death March. Feels more immersive for me. The map may be bigger and you cant just fast travel anywhere at anytime. It is something to get used too. Once you start playing more there are plenty of fast travel points to speed up travel times. Geralt isn't really supposed to be like-able in a sense. Hes a witcher devoid of emotion. Its up to the player to try and bring emotion back to Geralt in your decision making. If you just do not like how the combat or game plays then you might just want to put this game on your backlog for another time. This game is amazing and I am glad I got to experience every aspect of it. Maybe try achievement hunting if you cant stay engaged. Also Gwent is really fun especially on harder difficulties.
death march is definitely the way to go, if higher difficulty helps with interest. the game really picks up i'd say like.. around kaer morhen. it is a bit of a slow go in the beginning, especially if you aren't already familiar with/interested in witcher lore

Death march? never heard that, ill try that thanks!
I use the console, an turn on all map pins, can fast travel all over the map. Turning on the map pins reveals nothing about whats there, it jus shows the FT post's.

I to hate running every-where U have it lucky though, b4 the 4.0 ypdate, Stamina for sprinting was limited, you had to neck a decoction called Werewolf, to gain unlimited sprint.

Also the entire games was diffreant, b4 they nerfed the NPC's and all stats.

N.B they did take some-what precautions, for that sort of thing, see it shows ALL FT post's even those in the DLC, so technically, u can jus FT to say Toussant, how-ever, no point, coz you wont be able to interact with any-one or thing, I tried, it seems untill u "unlock" the DLC via the in-game mission, it's "off limits"

You can still engage monsters in the wilds though, so thats a bit of fun, not much point, since they are the same as in Velen.

Pick more flowers? I just bought the game and that's the first thing I loved, still do. :steamhappy: If the game's not for you, just play something else.

If you mean his emotionlessness, I kinda get you. But that's half the salt. You can play him as the cold mercenary or try dig in some human response to things. Kinda like T-800 in Terminator 2 is just a machine, but learns a thing or two about human nature.

I can agree, I have spent more than 1 hour running around forest just spamming the pick up button lol.

Not every game is for everybody. I also read about people saying the beginning is "slow" - I mean, that opening part at White Orchard is one of the most magical and immersive moments ever in gaming IMO.

What's really important is being able to save everywhere (not being restricted like in RDD 2 or Kingdom Come Deliverance). Fortunately, CDPR games lets you save when you want to, with plenty of fast travel points - crucial IMO. The lack of these things, is why I never could get properly into RDD2.

Use the horse and fast travel. Walking on foot is a chore, yes.

As usual a pure open map game has issues. Suggest you don´t buy a Far Cry game.

On level 38 or so...still playing the game. Seems to be either feast or famine? Times when the game is seriously hard to get thru...other times not much going on.

During the off times I try to find "areas" I've missed or ignored...not on the map especially...but parts of the game. Still don't use potions or bombs though I have some made up. Mostly am very particular about keeping swords and armor upgraded...and use Aard a lot.

Game goes on because I find it's easier to stay with a game rather than start a new one and learn the intricacies of playing it...it's only when the controls are intuitative that I start to enjoy it.

Running into a lot of quests that won't finish out...
brother if you think travel across the huge map is way too boring. you never gonna enjoy RPG games like rdr or skyrim or kcd or so many more games with huge maps
i think you enjoy a game when you have a bike or a car so i suggest to play another games:Dandelion:
