Game is crashing again and again at same point

After talking to caption wolverstone and the boat to skellige cut scene the is crashing again and again. i don't know why but it is happening again and again. I have repoerted this issue but no solution. Do not know what to do

perhaps check windows event viewer and windows reliability history.
might be a game crash event or system related errors.

see if there is a .dmp file (crash dump) file created .
(mine are in appdata\local\crashdumps)
if so use windbg to analyze it

problem may be baked into your save. try an older save, do some different quests, then try this one again.

steam verify game files in case one of the game files are corrupt.
