the whole game got reset

it asked me steam cloud or local and i chose local and i lost my whole progress pls help :(

saves are stored in folder
Documents\The Witcher 3\gamesaves

check cloud_log.txt and cloud_log.previous.txt files in folder
...\steam\logs
lines with appid 292030 are about this game
might be an error msg or tell you what happened

to view your saved files in the steam cloud
click on steam help -> steam support -> my account ->data related to account
scroll down to uploaded content section then steam cloud
maybe your old saves are still there
