Character image doesn't show up in Rpgmaker xp

Made a character sprite for xp. Saved as png in that particular games-projects character folder. Creating an even but when adding sprite only the name is there but the image is not. Blank space where the sprite should have been. Havent had this problem before so I dont know whats up.

highlight each layer when you save. I noticed that bug myself. Or as Todd Howard would say, perhaps it was a feature, so that you only saved layers that you actually wanted on the character. (Character export WITH sword in hand, and WITHOUT sword in hand, for instance.

Sorry to necropost on this but it looked unresolved.
