Please, i need a modder
Hello everyone,
I could really use the help of a modder, please.
For personal reasons (and without wanting to start a debate), I’d like to create a mod that adds a playable female general to the Ithaca faction.
I have no experience in modding, so I turned to ChatGPT, which introduced me to RPFM. I quickly realized that modding a game is quite complex, and I truly respect the work modders do!
With ChatGPT's help, I managed to generate 4 .tsv files and compiled them into a .pack file.
The mod does appear in the mod manager, but unfortunately it doesn't load in-game, despite several attempts to adjust the files.
Would anyone here be kind enough and skilled enough to help me bring this project to life — or even create the mod directly?
Below is the summary provided by ChatGPT:

Goal:
Add a female general named Eurykleia to the Ithaca (Odysseus) faction in Total War: Pharaoh – Dynasties.
She should be:
- Recruitable via the regular “Recruit General” menu
- Have the same stats and properties as a default general
- Immortal (can be wounded but not killed)

Technical Details:
The mod uses the following tables, with one custom line for Eurykleia:
- characters_tables
- agent_subtypes_tables
- character_selection_options_tables
- campaign_character_art_setups_tables

Defined data:
- Character key: eurykleia
- Agent subtype: eurykleia_subtype
- Art set: eurykleia_art_set
- Faction: faction_greek_ithaca
- Gender: female
- Immortal: True
- Display name: Eurykleia

Files provided:
- A `db` folder containing the 4 .tsv tables
- A `user.script.txt` file to activate the mod

🛠️ To do:
- Assemble into a .pack using RPFM
- Ensure the general appears in the recruitment pool for Ithaca

If needed, I can provide the TSV files or the .pack.

Idk, looks wrong, faction key is wrong, art set is referencing an non-existent art set etc. I've personally not added any characters (yet at least) to any of my mods. But I'd recommend you go poke, Kelly, Amulet or MarshCow, if their willing or able to help you ofc, which they ofc might not be.

For learning such kind of modding, you will need to find another existing mod for TWPD, that is doing exactly that: Adding a character to a faction*. Providing the mod files accordingly, just 100 % as such a related mod is doing, but with your changes for the new planned character. Should work then.
And maybe ask then the author of such a template mod for help in details, if it still fails.

Edit: On a first glance, it won't be enough to have the .tsv and script files properly. It will need .loc (name) and according image files.

* if such one doesn't exist, then look for a mod that edits (changes) existing characters, desired is then including name and image material.

This advice is valid for all kind of mods, for TW modding newbies.

Edit: Btw., thread belongs into the Workshop discussion section.

Thank you for your replies, I will indeed look for a mod that does this and see if I can modify it afterwards.
