General FAQ
What is Sonic Rumble?
Sonic Rumble is a fast-paced multiplayer party battle royale where up to 32 players face off as fan-favorite Sonic characters. Compete across quick-fire rounds of racing, ring collecting, dodging traps, and chaotic battles, all in a race to be the last one standing!
Will Sonic Rumble be free to play?
Yes! Sonic Rumble is completely free-to-play. To support ongoing development and server maintenance, we offer optional in-game purchases. These let players unlock cosmetic items, like character skins, emotes, and more. Our goal is to ensure that all players, whether they spend or not, have a fair and fun experience.
Where can I find more info or get help with the game?
For more details, troubleshooting, or answers to technical questions, visit the official SEGA Support site[sega.helpshift.com]. It’s regularly updated with helpful articles and support resources!

Game Platforms & Cross-Play
Which platforms will Sonic Rumble’s global release be available on?
Sonic Rumble will be available on iOS, Android, Google Play on PC, and Steam at global launch.
Will I be able to play with friends on other platforms?
Yes, Sonic Rumble features crossplay across all supported platforms, so you can team up with your friends no matter where they play!
Will I be able to transfer my progress between devices and platforms?
Yes, but progress isn’t linked automatically. You’ll need to create a Link ID to transfer data between devices. Just go to “Settings” → “Connect Account” → “Link Data” to obtain your Link ID. Use this Link ID to synchronize your progress between devices. Make sure to store your Link ID somewhere safe!
Pre-Launch & Global Launch
When will Sonic Rumble release globally?
We don't have a release date to share yet, but as soon as we get closer, we'll update you through our social media and community channels.
Why was the Global Launch postponed?
Changes to the game that are introduced in Update 1.2 fundamentally reshape the game. This means we need more time to test and optimize the game to build the kind of high-quality, long-lasting Sonic game our players deserve.
Is the Release Date on the App Stores correct?
Please note that the store pages might indicate a specific date for Sonic Rumble's release. However, this is a placeholder date. The actual release date for the Sonic Rumble Global Launch will be revealed at later date.
Will those who currently have access to the game lose their progress?
No! All progress made during Pre-Launch will carry over to Global Launch.

Pre-Registration & Rewards
How do I pre-register for Sonic Rumble, and what counts towards the total?
You can pre-register by pre-registering on mobile (iOS or Android) or by wishlisting Sonic Rumble on Steam. All pre-registrations, pre-orders, and wishlists contribute to the pre-registration total. Simply follow the links on our website: https://sonicrumble.com/prereg-odlev.
Can I still pre-register if I am in a region that already has access during pre-launch?
Regions with early access to the game during Pre-Launch cannot pre-register on mobile. However, players in these regions can still wishlist the game on Steam to participate.
When will I receive my rewards? And will I still get rewards if I cannot pre-register in my region?
Pre-registration rewards will be distributed to all players, regardless of whether they participated in the campaign, following the global launch of Sonic Rumble! But remember, the more sign-ups, the more rewards, so if you cannot pre-register yourself, call your friends to action!

Time-Limited Events
Why are we releasing time-limited event Skins and other cosmetics when the game is not yet globally released?
We’re running events and releasing new content to make the game fun and exciting for those who already have access. This way, we keep things fresh and give players something awesome to look forward to while we continue preparing for our global launch!
Will event and time-limited cosmetics return in the future?
Absolutely! Many of these incredible Skins, Chao, and Stickers will make a comeback once the game is live worldwide, so you won’t miss your chance to grab them. While we cannot guarantee that every cosmetic will return immediately, we will try to give everyone a chance to obtain them eventually. Keep an eye out for updates!
What happens if I don’t have access to Sonic Rumble yet? Am I missing out?
We understand that it can feel frustrating not to be part of the action yet, but rest assured, there will be plenty of opportunities to participate in future events and snag those amazing Skins, Buddies, and Stickers. We’re working hard to make Sonic Rumble available to everyone in the near future, so hang in there!

Settings & Customization
How do I change my player name?
Open the Settings menu by tapping the three lines in the top-right corner of the screen, then tap “Settings”. From there, tap the Change button next to your name, enter your new name, and confirm! You can only change your name once every 7 days.
How do I customize my on-screen controls?
In the Settings menu, tap “Customize” next to Battle Settings. Under the UI section, tap “Customize” beside Virtual Pad Layout. You can freely drag buttons around and resize them to your liking. You’ll also see the Invalid Camera Control Area, which helps prevent accidental camera movement while tapping other buttons. You can move this too!
When you're happy with your layout, tap “Save” to apply your changes.
Can I change the in-game camera settings?
Yes! Go to “Settings” → “Battle Settings” → “Customize”, and under the UI category, find “Camera Settings”. Tap “Manual” next to the Camera Controls to fine-tune how the in-game camera behaves. Adjust until it feels right, and you're good to go!

Sonic Rumble features a variety of exciting modes that keep things fresh and challenge players in different ways.
Although Quick Rumble, Ring Survival, Stage Challenges, and Custom Matches are always available, Squad Mode, Co-Op Mode, and Special Rumble rotate in and out on a weekly schedule:

  • Friday to Sunday: Co-Op Mode and Special Rumble rotate in.
Keep an eye on the game to see which modes are currently active, and don’t forget to check out our social media channels where we regularly post the current month’s mode schedule!
How do Sonic Rumble matches work?
Each match (except for Quick Rumble) is made up of three rounds, and your goal is to be the last one standing by collecting rings, surviving obstacles, and outsmarting your rivals. You'll face different types of rounds, like races to the finish line, survival challenges, team battles, and all-out ring-collecting brawls in the final round.
What are Power-Ups?
Power-Ups spawn during matches and give you temporary boosts or abilities. Use them strategically to turn the tide, whether it’s dashing ahead, knocking out enemies, or defending yourself.
What is Ring Survival mode?
Ring Survival is the core mode of Sonic Rumble. It always follows the same structure:
  • Round 1 – Run: Race to the goal and collect rings.
  • Round 2 – Survival / Hunt / Team: Stay alive, score high, or work with your team to advance.
  • Final Round – Ring Battle: Grab rings, steal them from opponents, and aim to finish on top!
What is Co-Op Mode?
In Co-Op Mode, you team up with other players to face off against powerful bosses. Work together to deal as much damage as possible and aim to take them down before time runs out!
What is Special Rumble?
Special Rumble features limited-time variations that change up the rules of the game. Enjoy modes like faster movement, lower gravity, or three rounds of pure survival action for a thrilling twist on your matches.
What is Squads Mode?
Form a squad of up to 4 players and take on other squads in team-based stages. It’s all about teamwork, strategy, and collecting as many rings as you can together!
What is Quick Rumble?
Quick Rumble is the perfect pick if you’re looking for fast and easy fun. These matches are shorter, with 8 players and just one round. You get one Quick Rumble ticket per day, and can save up to 3.
What are Stage Challenges?
Stage Challenges offer special one-off battles with unique rules. You unlock them by progressing through the Season Pass and collecting Bronze Medals. They only reward you once per clear, and don’t count toward standard progression like Amy’s Requests.
Can I create Custom Matches?
Yes! You can create Custom Matches and invite up to 31 other players. Select your favorite maps, set up 1 or 3 rounds, and even add bots if you like. Just remember: Custom Matches do not grant rewards or progression.

Competitive & Social Features
What is Rumble Rank?
Rumble Rank is Sonic Rumble’s competitive weekly ranking system. Players are placed into leagues and can climb up by earning high scores during the week. The higher you place, the better your rewards at the end of the season!
