There is a problem with the Enhanced Edition languages and the old game ones (different engines, but the Steam options are the same).

There's a workaround I've been able to find to overpass the Beta problem with the languages on the old mind.

1- Go to the game properties and select "English" in the Languages tab
2- Go to \Steam\SteamApps\common\Mind_Path_to_Thalamus\UDKGame\Localization
3- Go to folder of the language you want the game to appear, copy the files
4- Go to FRA folder and paste the files
5- Delete the .fra files
6- Rename the .xxx files to .fra

Then the game will be in your language

I've found that I can't play the E.Edition anymore, was it overwritten? Do I have to redownload everytime I want to switch?

Based on your info I tried changing lanuguages and found that many (all?) of them are mixed up. I was able to find English by selecting Portuguese.

Does this help? Are you able to correct this bug or do you need outside help?

OK, one more thing (sure hope you can respond to everything). Playing the 'Father' level (aka stompy feets) in the Beta is close to impossible. I've been crushed countless times before I was able to get to the portal in part-1, but I can't find any way to avoid the 'fourth step' in part-2. Always get crushed no mater where I am or if I have the ball or not.

The feet just come down too fast and/or I'm just not moving fast enough, very frustrating. At least in part-1 you could somewhat predict (after getting crushed enough times) where you need to be, but that still isn't very fun or engaging.

The same thing is happening to me with the stompy feet, so fear not...it seems to be effecting more than one person.

The E. Ed. I can't beat that level because I get stuck at the portal - tried both sides and cannot enter it. Only one foot glows, the other is just dark.

Skipped that level and did beat the game, but not able to complete Father because of this issue.

Thanks for the update. I tried the Beta but didn't realize that it messed with the E.Ed (or overwrote it?). Got the language figured out and finally got past the Father level then finished the game.

So now I wonder how the 'fix' the E.Edition so I can play it again. I guess I could uninstall and reinstall the whole thing again, or opt-out of the Beta?

Damn...same problem here; unable to get through the portal. And I've been trying so many times I thought I have to wait until the portal appears where the floor is more "flat". But nope....not working. :(
