Beetle Ninja

Beetle Ninja

Movement keys don't work
I downloaded the demo version and the movement keys don't work at all. Later I downloaded the full game from GameJolt and the movement keys don't work in that version either. It might be some kind of weird issue with running RPG Maker 2003 on Windows 11, I dunno.

Sorry for the slow reply!
How are you attempting to play? Through keyboard or a gamepad of some sort?

Keyboard, and as far as I know I'm not using any kind of loaders or compatibility stuff. The game opens on the main character standing in an office and all I can do is open the menu.

If you right click the game in Steam, and check out the Controller options, is there anything other than the default settings active? Maybe you have Steam input enabled?

My next guess would be to check different peripherals you have connected. Try them 1 at a time. Basically anything other than your M+KB. Try disconnecting any webcams, or other USB devices.

...So. You know Murphy's Law? "When you call a television repairman, the TV will start working when he gets there, and stop working again when he leaves"? That happened to me. I installed the full version of Beetle Ninja that just launched on Steam and it works just fine. No clue why it didn't before, but at least I can move the character now!

Tryed both recomendation, none is help. Also I'm playing on laptop, so maybe it's touchpad or something.

I'm experiencing the same issue on a Windows 11 laptop which has run other RPGmaker games just fine. I can open the game and look at the menu, but movement keys don't work. I plugged in a Switch Pro controller but that doesn't work either. Tried reinstalling, validating my game files, etc to no avail.
