look using cakewalk to make music is a really bad idea, the samples that come with it are most likely super copyrighted so you cant make money off anything you make, or use it in an advertisment, the actual DAW (digital audio workstation) that cakewalk makes itself to be is a very bad one, they made some ok VSTi but if youre wanting to get into serious electronic music making like techno/ dubstep or anything really, alot of people use fruity loops, but i find its interface a little condescending, or for mac theres logic which most high end music makers use, or theres ableton for windows which i use and most pros also (wish i was one lol) ableton is your best bet as its the most flexible to use out of all of them. these steam music makers are only putting programs on steam because they cant compete in the real market with the proper programs. i would strongly advise against giving these guys money for trying to sell and inferior product to a crowd that they think know nothing about music production.
goodluck!

The packs all say on their respective pages "All content included is royalty-free" and I know for a fact that the loops that already come with Sonar and Music Creator are royalty free too. Cakewalk representatives have said such in the STEAM forums before.

You could always try a demo of SONAR too. There's a download at Cakewalk's website. I've been using Cakewalk DAW's for over 15 years. :dealwithit:

No one's buying software at the stores anymore....it's really silly for any software company not to bring their products to STEAM at this point. FL Studio was greenlighted too, so it'll be on STEAM eventually.

Logic, Cakewalk, and Cubase have been around since the late 80's, early 90's.

What online store did they use then? :TR:

Just to be clear, all loops for Cakewalk Loop Manager and loops in SONAR X3 and Music Creator 6 Touch are royalty free. You should check your facts.

so you could use all your loops in an official recording/ album and never have the original singer/ songwriter/ loop maker claim copyright/ royalty or sue ?

Yes, you can use them in commercial works, you just can't pass off the loops themselves as your own work.

I posted this sticky earlier in the week. It has links to our premium content providers terms and conditions: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/305280/discussions/0/522730535741578046/
