Any chance of removing the plague random event?
It's really not fun in any way.

On the list. We'll put this and the Patrons on preferences as a random event toggle. The random events were part of pre-Building version of the game that were never removed once the buildings went in. We'll default to OFF, but retain them in case some people still like them.

Each terraintype also got the values "plague start chance", "Plague spread chance" and "plague turns" values you can adjust in the modding tool.

As a stopgap until they are made optional it should be possible to remove plagues by adjusting these. Old forest and Mountains should provide good references for doing this.

Most of my recent games have been with nations such as Aevinwode so my recent first-hand experience is limited but if memory serves me right it causes damage to units in affected provinces and reduces their income.

Undead units (e.g. Palemoor) should be immune to it. Not sure if it also includes province income but I think so.

I think it used to also spread between provinces and armies by any unit that had been in a province with plague in it. Not sure if it still does.
