I know you said you tried running as administator, but could you try ticking 'Run this program as an administrator' in the Properties for the games exe? Lemme know if that worked

There is a pinned thread in the Technical Support Forum that seems to deal exactly with this issue.

You should try the fixes proposed there (most notably that the Documents folder is read only) and see whether the problem persists.

This thread belongs in the Technical Support Forum anyway.

Yup, those are the exact fixes that I spoke of. None of them worked.
And I was half asleep when I posted this discussion. The moderators can just move it to Tech Support if they want.

Nope. It produced the same results, except now, it asks me if I'd like to run this program from an unknown publisher... And THEN it fails to open in the exact same way as before.

Alright, I'm starting to get pissed off now.

I've tried every single fix there is, and none of them have worked.

I tried the "uncheck the Read-Only box" fix, and that failed. Then, I followed the directions on the website that was listed, and I repeatedly get an error.

I just want to play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game!

Moderators? Anyone?
I'd appreciate if someone could help me, so that I can just PLAY the game...

I had to erase all local content and redownload many games. Maybe this will help?

Oh, wait, when you say "Erase all local content", do you just mean delete and redownload the game? Or do you mean delete your save files and all that?

I was hoping the moderators would just help me out, since they seem to know what they're talking about, but they seem to be ignoring me.

It doesn't erase your save game, just the game on your HDD. Not awful at all.

Yeah, so you were talking about just deleting the game, not deleting save files and such.
Which WOULD be awful.
I'll try just deleting and redownloading the game then.
