There's no support for player made maps yet. We definitely want to do it, and are still hoping to include it in the official release.

As mentioned in the video, we used an open source map editor Tiled[www.mapeditor.org] for creating the maps.

Other than that, the video is however somewhat obsolete, and while it's theoretically possible to do something with Tiled and the assets you can find in The Masterplan, it's currently very unintuitive and without knowing all the exceptions, near impossible.

We do heartily recommend checking out Tiled however, it's a great program and once we get the support for player generated maps, they will be made with Tiled. :)
