Maybe the mission planning could have assets similar to PAYDAY yet different, maybe buy out a guard to look the other way or call in sick, purchase keys (Both for a price). Maybe purchase a drill for vaults like Central BB, but there would need to be more banks.

Payday style assets are definitely very cool, and they add a lot to the gameplay in their system. In The Masterplan assets are present, but are acquired quite differently. Instead of paying Bain for a one-use item or feature, you'll need to find the gear yourself. For example, once you get your first disguise, you're free to use that in the future heists as you choose to. It's a different system, both of which have their benefits and downsides.

Overall, we've had great big plans for planning features, after all they were a big part of any heists of the old, but as the game has developed, they've morphed more and more into other features. There's a chance we'll do some changes with this, especially as currently leaving the hideout is a bit clumsy, but adding major features (such as mission-specific assets) is unlikely.
