Biggest annoyance and off putting thing about this game right now: Hostages and doors.
Right now doors are just a pain. I was looking forward to the bank until I seen so many damn doors. Getting hostages through them is a massive pain as you can't keep them intimidated unless you have a guy at the other side waiting. The realism is nice in this but it's just not fun gameplay wise.

Could I suggest maybe the ability of holding doors in an open state somehow so weapons can be kept on the hostages?

This would also help the absolute struggle there is of trying to get doors locked before everyone runs out the door.

Like I said this is for me anyway the BIGGEST off putter of this game for me right now.

Doors are a tough nail to handle. The situation you described seems to be happening a lot at the moment and we are thinking on ways to fix it.
We are either fixing doors or fixing the ways the intimidated characters are handled to improve it.

If you have any suggestions on how this would work, and how the "holding doors" would work in your opinion, please tell them and we will definitely consider it when implementing the fix.

We appreciate all the feedback.

No problem.

For holding doors open I'd imagine it working similar to how locked doors work in that they snap into position. Instead of snapping shut, it would snap so it's swung back and open.

Difference being, if the agent that is holding it open moves out of proximity from the doors, the door should naturally swing shut again.

This helps because it would create a realistic line of sight through the doorway to keep guns on the hostages.

Purhaps also add an artifical delay if the line of sight has been broke by a door object. Not much of a delay, just enough to keep the fear of god in the buggers until you can get the door locked :P

I'd like to see a follow option. So for example if you are controlling a hostage, you can set a goon to follow behind.

We've been toying with the idea that if you right drag to aim and release on a hostage, that would then snap the goon's aim to that hostage. Maybe also make the goon follow the target like this? How's that sound?

one would have to be careful, not to be making the game too easy.. i find the 'hold the door' - mechanic quite a good idea since, it still requires two goons and hence you need some micro skills..
i think the follow-aim is a great idea, while im not so sure about making the goon follow the hostage everywhere.. as i said one should test this out and see how it plays :)
