2) One attack missed, the other one hit. The animation never shows multiple attacks. It is internal math only.

Ok, thanks for the insights.
So it is my understanding that the LCs ability to roll twice greatly increases their effectiveness on both offense and defense. Since combat is resolved based on how many hits are scored, so LC increases the effectivenss by 100%?
I'm assuming I'm wrong, because it seems superior than the ThSh that way.
Do you just build your "melee specialists" as ranged terminators?
Melee class Terminators normally build to use their Storm Bolter.
I personally build my melee terminators around their storm bolters. And having a lot of them (e.g. Space Wolves) makes the game more difficult than having fewer or none of them (e.g. Ultramarines).
It is funny and a winning streak can be cinematic, but it's ultimately unreliable.
