I completed the main campaign plus all the DLCs with a total of 2,168 kills. I should replay the game at least 18 times to get this achievement so I guess I'll leave it alone :D

Most people that achieved it deploy in a great overwatch position and have a skript do reload, cool, cool, set overwatch, next unit/turn.

Steam says u only have 4.6h in Ascencion & u beat the campaign? Xd

No, I forgot to mention I beat the first Space Hulk game, not Ascension. But the first one has the same 40000 kills achievement! XD

I actually do have it from insane farming of veterancy.

I got it for couple of days ago 'There is only War' something. Diden't even know there was any, guess it just takes some time and patience. I don't even know how many hours I got in the game also on that note, many times I have the game started but are doing other things so its probably not active game-time.

By the time you finish this game on Impossible, you'll have 40,000 Genestealer kills alright.

When I finished all campaigns I had about 25k kills. After that you just need a good save when you can in one turn collect as much as possible kills. Just quick load / repeat few hundreds times (meanwhile you can listen some podcast or audiobook) :)

I done that very easy lol. Use the CCC mod with max rank commander. The genestealer number is insane. Recommend playing with Hard mode and Deathwatch chapter for insane unit

Yes, it is visible in the Steam achievements list.
