Steam deck issues
Game works great on steam deck but it has a weird issue if I want to play the game at 60fps I have to have the deck plugged in as soon as I unplug it, it reverts to 30fps also weirdly I think it also changes the graphics from maxed out to low, maxed if it’s plugged in but low when I don’t have it charging, it’s the only game series that does this on my deck why can’t I play max and 60fps unless my steam deck is charging

Back when Trine 2 was being developed for special touchscreen version, Intel requested this functionality to conserve battery power. Back then it was a sensible feature (there were no portable gaming oriented PCs), these days, not so much.

To disable the features, you need to edit the options.txt, which on Windows would be in %appdata%\Trine3 folder. I don't know where it is on Deck. Search for OnBatteryRenderingQualityReductionEnabled and set it to false. Then search for OnBatteryFramerateLimit (it should be right below) and set it to 60.

Valves default install runs Proton/Windows version.
I use Linux install version and game runs 60fps on battery.

Linux version doesn't have battery power detection, so it isn't affected by it.
