Example: the enemy have 1 unit near your zone, 3 of your planes go to patrol; the enemy have 2 units near your zone, 6 of your planes go to patrol.
Have you read the manual addendum? : http://www.warfaresims.com/?page_id=2695
1. From start menu, start new scenario, Tutorials, then Uncle Mark's Tutorials 1...
2. Once stated, begin with no changes to the options.
3. Immediately go to the Mission Editor
4. For the pre-built "ASW Patrol" mission, notice the 1/3rd rule box is checked. Don't change any settings.
5. Click the boxes next to the three helos in the "Unassigned units" area (lynx mk88, lynx SH-14, wasp), and click the double left arrow to move them into the "Units Assigned to mission" area.
6. Time advance. The helo that's already ready launches immediately, patrols, and returns at bingo. The two that aren't get ready, become ready, and then both launch, surprising me. I expected only one to launch and the other to remain on deck, ready.
*So I guess another way to get your save game you want is simply to load the stock Uncle Mark's Tutorials 1 scenario, since I'm not changing the pre-built mission that's in there at all.
Thanks for the help!
p.s. I guess you're confirming that the intent of the 1/3rd rule is that only one of the 2 helos would launch, since there are 3 helos assigned to the mission and the 1/3 rule is checked (and that some other setting is overriding it). Let me know if that's not right.
Look forward to hearing from you!
p.p.s I have perused the addendum, but didn't see anything in there that explained this. Maybe I'm missing something, please clue me in!
It seems the UI doesn't explain this well enough, so I'll make some changes to make this clearer in the future.
