Help with crashes or performance issues
English

Dear Community,

some of you encountered problems with crashes or performance lags. We recognized that some weaker systems running Win 10 have deeper problems with lags and we are working on them. We recently published a first patch which lowers the performace and loading time issues, but we nore there ist still much work to do and we are on it.

Meanwhile please try the following work around:
  • Go into your options menu and set the graphic details to lowest.

If you still encounter lags or crashes, please contact our support via e-mail at helpdesk@astragon.de and send them your log file and your DX Diag report.

How you find the log file:
  • Go into your Bus-Simulator 16 installation folder. This could be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bus Simulator 16\
  • Go into the subfolder \BusSimulator16_Data
Here you can find the output_log.txt

How you can create a DXDiag report for PC:
  • Enter dxdiag in your input field next to the windows icon and press enter.
  • After the collection process finished please click on "save all information"and save the report in a folder you will recover easily.

We try our best to optimize Performance quickly and want to thank you for your patience.

Best regards,
your Bus-Team

Update: For all who didn't notice yet: We have just released a performance optimized version in a separate branch. This patch should contain a noticeable performance increase for numerous computer configurations. You can find more detailed information as well as some download instructions here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/324310/discussions/0/1842367319519199818/

Liebe Community,

I just opened a discussion specifically on this issue.I am having it as well. Really annoying. The game is fun but I havent finsihed one route yet since it is so slow!

Hi, we encountered this slow motion problem mainly on systems with weak graphic cards. Could you please give me feedback on this assumption? At the moment we are working on a performance patch which should improve the performance situation globally. Meanwhile I would suggest that you lower your graphic details for getting a more stable performance. You can find an instruction in our FAQ: http://www.bussimulator-game.de/faq/en.html Hope this helps.

for me the game only uses 46% of my GPU (a GTX 760 4GB Gaming Edtion) and less than 7gb of ram even though i have 16GB of 1600mhz ram, i also have an i53570k stable @ 3.8Ghz but again ive only ever seen the CPU useage in the 60% max range, fps isnt smooth and struggles in the max 40 fps and can dip into the 30 fps range, its become so bad that ive started using the half vsync (30fps cap) just to get smoothish gameplay

No menus after startup. I've been able to play until i restarted the game - now there is no way to select a career or create a new one so I can't play the game.

@CrackerCole
There was already somebody who had a similar issue. He could resolve it by clearing the cache.
So you can try the following things:
1) close steam - delete the steam "appcache" folder in the steam install directory - try the game again
2) if the above does not help: right click -> properties of Bus Simulator 16 -> local files -> verify integrity of game cache

I have exactly the same problem. Have tried deleting the appcache file and verifying the game cache but it makes no difference, the menus do not appear and there is no way to selt a career or start a new game. Unplayable.

The Owner / Lead Developer has been messaging me constantly and trying to find the problem. I must say, I am very impressed with the developers commitment to making the game work for everyone.

What we know is that this bug is making the game unable to write to the CustomSettings file and once starting a route, it erases the SaveGame file wiping it to 0 Bytes (That's why you can't select a career when you reload).
