Performance is terrible now

Reinstalled after a few months and it's pretty much unplayable on a 4080 and 7950X3D with 32GB RAM on a GEN4 NVME SSD at 4K ultra.

How is it possible that performance has become worse?

have you ever considered the reality that this game was programmed to run on Windows 7, I have no doubt you are running windows 11.

I can say this game runs fine under Proton on a Linux PC.
