1.0.4 Known Issue: Startup failures on MacOS
It's unclear if the crash fix has also fixed the startup failures on some MacOS systems.

If you're experiencing a startup failure, I would recommend sending logs to support@freeholdgames.com, as well trying to rename your ~/.config/unity3d/Freehold Games/CavesOfQud directory to see if starting from a fresh setup helps.

You can also try clearing ~/Library/Preferences/com.freeholdgames.cavesofqud
