Fix for Drag-and-Drop bug on MAC?

Just bought the game and I can't get pass the tutorial because of this drag and drop bug trying to fill the Hydrogen. Hydrogen icon just pops to the center of th ship and won't move. Playing on macOS Sierra 10.13.3. Macbook finger pad and USB mouse all the same results.

I see a lot of people had/have this bug, but no fixes that I could find. Does anyone have any info they could share?

I have this bug too, also on Sierra. I find I can sort-of play by right clicking on resources and choosing 'Transfer' / ' Use' / 'Drop', but I can't get adjacency bonuses that way, or return resources to the drill after mining.
