Out There: Ω Edition

Out There: Ω Edition

How do I use / change to HARD difficulty option?
I can only see Easy and Normal. I supposed that when I beat the game that it will offer me the hard difficulty. Is it not so? How can I access it?

There's no hard difficulty per se AFAIK. You've beaten the game on Normal? Now try disabling Cemetery Gates and enabling Galactic Twilight.

Also they have another game set in the same universe (prequel?): Out There Chronicles but it's not on PC yet, only mobile (interactive novel).

Well once I found out that probing on 10 makes the game so much easier, I now feel that the game has become too easy, yes. I may try galactic twilight yet it does not make much sense to me concerning the immersion. Why would such a thing even happen? Thanks for the response.

Damn right! Tell it to those whiners over there: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/334420/discussions/0/1620599015888241491/
Game gets easy after that. I don't even construct a drill until i need it, just have an extra stack of Iron with me(and material to patch damaged ship slots). Same with probe usually. And upgrades for them i construct only when i have good amount of free space and resources because they get broken too often when drilling/probing to full depth.

Well, quite omnipotent being is against you, so while not totally plausible still possible. Better if it didn't depend on your jumps and just expanded like a plague like Rebels in FTL.

Still i think it doesn't increase difficulty significantly, since it's rarely needed to visit previous systems. Also if you have Life Seed then you can revive planets anyway and it usually grants another Omega + you can replenish Oxygen and some other materials.

Don't know another way to up difficulty unless making artificial handicaps for yourself :/

Have you reached all 4 endings BTW? Some are harder.

I reached three of the endings and just keeping the fourth (the one with delivering the people in stasis) as my final run. Thanks for the comment, if I could, I would upvote it.

I once tried to visit every system ever but became bored :hee:

Waiting for update for the game, maybe you can ask for harder difficulty :) https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/334420/discussions/0/1696049513781607313/

Maybe I will! If you want and if you know how I also recommend you to try version 1.04.4 on Android. It's not Omega edition yet and the mechanics is changed a little. You mine less iron for example. It may be considered harder. Yes, visiting every system is kinda boring.
