I stumbled into the Cathedral while I had an alien on board and it left for one of the 4 spaces. Is the Cathedral's system supposed to get an orange marker after that, or even before it?

edit: in case it matters, I found that alien on a non-terraformed Garden Planet. People only mention finding transportable aliens on Rocky Planets. Also, if you want me to test anything, that game has come to an unfortunate end.
