Maybe it's possible to edit savegame file btw? :)
I agree.
Nah, don't think so. FTL ships are mostly balanced, AND have more differences offering significant variety in gameplay.
In Out There ships aren't so different and the bigger one wins. There are basically one end-game ship which has enough differences for gameplay: Sphere, because you can use Carbon as fuel. Though i still feel that it's not worth it and Terran Arc or Disc are better.

Allowing bigger ships from the start would be like adding super easy difficulty. Well, maybe only if the smaller ones of those ships can be chosen, some of them even have fewer slots than starter Nomad — then it's reasonable.
I don't see how it is an issue, it just adds more ways to play. But I'm not asking for ALL ships to be available from start anyway, and more than anything the option ALREADY exists on switch, I just would like to see it on PC.
So it's gonna come to PC at some point anyway :)
I just hope they have more meaningful and reasonable things to add replayability, this is meh. Cargo space is the most important stat after all.
