Event were you lose ALL omega elments and gold

This events seems to be always happen at some point, preferably when I have stockpiled a lot of omega... is that kind of like that enemy fleet event that always occurs at some point I'm wondering?

The attack of the savages forces you to lose a lot, I mean A LOT of stuff. If you have 1-2 Omegas they might all go.
Also pro tip: don't store your Omegas in the extension spaces. If the extender gets damaged you lose everything in there.
