Report a translation problem
The goal is to make the base game easier through those perks... So what the game currently is could become the "hard mode" or "New Game++" version. We're still just in the idea phase so the perks may never be actually implemented if we feel it takes away more then it gives to the game.
Gameplay is kinda smooth and nice. Feels like Meatboy but with girls as rewards which is the way cooler.
Nice to know you agreed to add gallery to see unlocked girls! And please do not cut pictures since we can see some legs (not only tits like in most games.
As i understand In level editor we can also add our own pictures, so Workshop will give us more levels and girls which is nice.
As for perks - great. But I am currently satisfied with my char controls. I just guess difficulty increases, thats why its gonna be more difficult. Anyway, I like game mechanics as it is. Engine is good and gameplay is good. More content is welcome and more unlockable stuff would be great. And more artwork!! More achievements should be fun too .. but those are just my thoughts .. good like and keep the good work up. Very good game and unique idea. Its boring just to stare at girls pictures and its boring to grind platformers without the reward. But playing great action game unlocking girls and stuff feels very rewarding.
The game starts out pretty easy but you'll see, when going about 5-7 levels deep in any given direction that it becomes REALLY difficult. Multiplayer is one way to tackle the challenge but unlockable little perks could be another way to help.
Of course, if you've completed super meat boy then you've already got enough 2d platformer skills already to complete uncraft world with a lot more ease then someone else. Still won't be easy !
I think that perks could make the game easier of course but it will be less satisfying...maybe? :|
That's the main concern. I know some people who couldn't complete all levels, let alone the chests in 20+ hours. I also know of a few people who could 100% the game in under 5hrs on their first experience with the series. However if the perks are not too overpowered, they can be an awesome way to shake up the experience, reward the player and add extra personnality to the game (perks could become goddesses blessings for example, and some of them could be purely cosmetic/comedic)
I did a bit of internal testing with perks and i'm shelving them for awhile. I still think they can be awesome but we gotta figure out the best way to present them.
Currently changing focus completely to support custom background images shareable on workshop and integrated right into the level select screen for maximum visibility and ease of use.
In the end i think having the players choose what image to use will create a lot of funny / sexy / special moments created by the users without the huge time commitment that comes with creating an entire level.
As for perks .. as you just said, purely cosmetical unlockable perks is an awesome idea. Here is how we make the experience more personal. Though those perks must be hard to unlock (for money for example.
As for game difficulty .. I have completed some of very tought levels which game me some very satisfiyng moment. Most part of the fun for me is the difficulty which is about right now as it is.
Support custom background images? very good idea to change focus to!!
Do not forget that sexy girls is the reason a lot of ppl play the game. And also do not forget the gallery:).
