Barrely Victorious is still broken but they plan to fix it in another patch.
Giving the Halloween campaign a try now to see if Kooky Cookies now works. I've noticed a few of the game crashing bugs were fixed here at least, so far.
Kooky Cookies one is fixed. You only need to bake one cookie now and it's no longer a 50/50 chance to succeed on it.
The other seemingly broken achievement was Self-Destruct Mutton. Didn't try going for this one again yet as it's a longer process. The only info I have about it is that you don't break the mirror and don't attack Von Imp, then you have to lose in the "Knock Knock" battle. I was never able to find the Knock Knock battle no matter what route I tried before.
"Preserving profits"
Later that year, the scheme's working like a charm. Sales soar as madness grips the land anew. You can see this strategy being applied for countless generations in the future. All you need to do is change the poison that makes the people believe the lie...
"Slow descent"
Over the years, the profits dwindle while the madness continues to engulf everyone around you. You wonder if the Malady hasn't claimed you already. Why else would you've sided with Von Imp?
"Until the day comes..."
And then one day, you can no longer find anyone of sound mind to pay to cook your meals, sweep your floors, or empty your many chamber pots. The stacks of coins you still possess are reduced to lustrous paperweights.
"Knock Knock"
Cooped up in your keep for weeks without outside contact, a strange rapping at your door sends you leaping to your feet. You throw the door open, expecting to see a messenger from Von Imp with another shrinking pouch of gold. But that is not who has coming calling...
1. Whoa! Dissatisfied customers? Please lodge your complaints at Von Imp manor...
2. [None of them laugh... but to be fair, most of them lack the mandible with which to form a laugh.]
3a. [You know you are to blame for the condition of these poor wretches. The least you can do is give them a swift end... or die trying.]
3b. [You pull your old weapons off the wall in a cloud of dust and drifting cobwebs, not knowing if you'll even remember how they're used.]
"Dis. Customers"
"touch of madness"
"Door and Reinforce"
1. Alright, who wants a refund?!
2. More of them?! They just keep coming!
3a. [Rush over to bar the door.]
[It's a struggle to bar the door against the undead horde.]
3b. [This is no time for carpentry! Focus on the fighting.]
"Your calling" (assumed 3a ending)
The fearsome battle has reminded you of your true calling in life. You take few supplies, and set out for the open road. You'll knock the Malady out, one skull at a time... You may've been bitten once or twice during the battle.
"In case of emergency" (assumed 3b result)
As the mad and undying overwhelm the keep, you crawl towards a haunch of meat kept under glass marked: In case of Emergency.
"KABOOM"
You shatter the glass and clutch the haunch, which is actually an explosive, cleverly disguised as meat that you'd dubbed your "self-destruct mutton" in happier times. You light the fuse and watch it shrink with an expression that seems crazy in a room full of madmen. Then it's all over. Congratulations, this is the worst ending!
"Self-Destruct Mutton"
It's a bad pun, but at least the sticker looks tasty.
As far as I know, the only way to not break the mirror is to be a shareholder, and demanding too much money triggers a fight with Von Imp later, which doesn't seem to happen in this story. It's unclear how much money should be demanded, or if a particular faction score is needed.
To be honest, I'm not convinced that this story and achievement aren't totally disconnected and impossible to reach from the rest of the campaign. It would be an easy oversight to make with how complicated the Sweetwater campaign is.
