Q and A for Crazy Machines 3
Where can I find the tutorial for the editor?

Unfortunately, we don't have a tutorial in-game. But we are aware of this problem and therefore, we made some tutorial videos you can watch in the videos section here at the community hub. You can also watch some videos of us playing around in the editor on our Youtube site:

I want to fast forward my machine so I don't have to wait too long for the results.

You can, just press and hold the F button on your keyboard and watch :).

How can I achieve better performance on my pc?

Like we said, it is a complex and serious physics simulation and it needs certain hardware to ensure its full performance. But we've taken care of this and you can adjust a bunch of quality settings of the game to boost your performance. Here is one suggestion for low spec pcs:

  • Fullscreen: Fullscreen
  • Resolution: Choose the lowest resolution that maintains your screens aspect ratio
while having the game running on full screen
  • Resolution quality: 70%
  • Vertical sync: Disabled
  • Anti-aliasing: FXAA
  • Depth of field: Enabled
  • Texture quality: Medium
  • Shadow quality: Off
  • Ambient occlusion: Off
  • Mesh quality: Medium
  • Lighting quality: Low

I have issues with my memory, is crazy machines so hungry?

Please close any other open programs like your browser before you start the game. This should help.

Why don't you have an epic story in the game?

This time we wanted to focus completely on the gameplay and the community features, and we think that we achieved this very well. Look at this crazy editor! And everything works with Steam Workshop! For epic stories, please take a look at these games: https://steamhost.cn/sub/55062/

Why can I not rotate objects like in the previous games?

We've made this design decision, because it makes it a lot easier for players to create their own levels without the need of testing too much for unwanted shortcuts. And we figured out that we can build levels that aren't easy at all, even without the rotation feature, so there's no need for missing this.

Okay so i remember seeing somewhere the game will have Vive support.

When is that coming? If the answer is this year, or within an otherwise reasonable timeframe, i'll definitely buy this.

Hi Mr. Boo,

we already have an internal prototype working. At the moment we are focussing on getting the controls right to have a proper grab and put. Don't have the schedule in mind. Let me check in the office tomorrow.

Hey Dev - any further news on vive support. Its been nearly a year since your working internal prototype - could you at least put it onto the experimental branch? Been waiting this whole time to play cos i dont wanna ruin Working out the puzzles for myself in 2D before having to go through them all again in VR!

I second this. If you guys add vive support, I'll buy it immediately.
