Blind Touch
Some feedback
Hello, it's a lovely game you made ! :wombathappy: I played through the different levels and the three difficulty modes, and I'd like to share some feedback in case it's useful. Sorry if this is a bit long—I just wanted to give you detailed feedback because I really found the project interesting.

For me, the interaction area of clickable objects felt a bit too small. In the assisted and disoriented modes, I often move around quite a lot near buttons, photos or other objets before the "press A" prompt would show up. I first played in real-life mode, and when I switched to an easier one I realized I had often been at the right place, but without the prompt, I had no idea there was something I could interact with. Sometimes an important item falls in an inaccessible spot, which forced me to restart the level. (Which I don't blame. It's a demo, mistakes happen, I have no problem with that.)
That happened to me with the "lost item" of the first level. I was in disoriented mode at the time and thought that in real-life mode I wouldn't have understood that the item had become unreachable and that I had to restart the level.

Maybe the goal was to recreate the difficulty blind people face in knowing exactly what's in front of them—and I think it's a strong idea you had to make the hardest difficulty resemble real life. But in real life they also use their hands a lot, and since we can't do that in the game, it might be fairer to give players a larger interaction range.

Another point is the physics of the items. They seemed a little too light to me, especially furniture. It was easy to knock many things over. It gave the game a slightly goofy tone, which felt a bit at odds with the otherwise serious atmosphere. Perhaps making the items heavier would add to the realism.

Finally, I'd like to mention the pedagogical aspect. As you probably know, the majority of blind people don't experience total darkness—they often have restricted and/or blurry vision. Because of the common belief that blindness always means total darkness, many blind people report being annoyed by people who accuse them of faking blindness.
I'm concerned that without a clarification, the game could unintentionally reinforce stereotypes, which might not be the message you want players to take away. Maybe adding an explanation—or even the option to play different forms of blindness—could help raise awareness in a positive way.

Thank you for reading, hope you're doing well, and good luck for the game ! Overall, I think this is a very promising project, and I’m really curious to see how it develops further. :wombathappy:

Thanks for your feedback, I was focusing on the development and only got to read it until today; All of your input is valuable and I'm currently compiling all of those into a list to implement in the future update.
Stay tuned!
